These woods are hand chosen from selected timber cut in the Knysna forest.Timber Village crafts a wide range of products to cater for the individual needs of our customers. 		Custom made Pubs Made up to the specific wishes of each customer, including sculptures inlaid into the structure. The Brenton Hotel pub is a fine example of our custom made bar, demonstrating the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail making it a unique feature of the hotel. 		Sculpture The craftsmen at Timber Village have tremendous creative flair which is evident in the sculptures. The sculptures are exquisite works, which incorporate the natural shape and texture of the wood into the design. Tools range from a chainsaw to the most delicate chisel. Genesis is one of the most striking works, carved by Theo Du Plessis. It is carved around the trunk of a huge Cypress tree, and features seven nude figures representing the creation of man. The sculpture stands 2.5m high and 2.4m wide. Genesis has now been incorporated into the display at The Cradle of Humankind. Click here for more examples of custom made sculptures. More sculptures
	Woodcraft Timber Village has an additional outlet at the Quays Craft Market on the Knysna Waterfront. The craftgallery houses examples of smaller woodcraft, such as picture frames, board games, kitchen utensils, salad bowls and chopping boards. Many visitors seek a small memento of the Knysna forest, and these small crafted pieces serve as a tactile reminder. Handcrafted from selected woods these pieces are designed in harmony with the wood to best enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
